About Me

In 2011, I was diagnosed with PSC (primary sclerosing cholangitis). My diagnosis came after I had gallbladder surgery and then was re-hospitalized for sepsis. For a while I thought that I could live in denial of what was happening to me but as always the truth has a way of settling in.

There is not a lot known about PSC due to its rarity. I have found some information from PSC Partners for a Cure and Living with PSC Support site. This journey is not an easy one because I never really know how my body is going to react but I decided to share what I know and how it has changed my life.

Like anything, this is not the end of my life it is just a new way of looking at things. I hope sharing my journey will help someone else out there. It doesn't matter if you have it, are a caregiver for someone, or you just have no idea what this disease is about but are curious come and follow me and let's see where it all goes.

I live in Philadelphia, PA with my two children Kenyah and Jeremiah as well as my cat Lucky. In this household there are many ups and downs because I am a single mom dealing with this disorder along with my day to day life. I laugh and cry like anyone else. I have things I enjoy doing and things I wish would just disappear. I am sure someone has felt like that, but hey we take the good with the bad.
